Turbo Scaffolding is an importer and distributor of different types of Scaffolding products having warehouses in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. They have more than 300 different types of products which they sell to different industries across Australia. They mainly supply to construction companies, the mining industry, shipping yards and many more. They are ISO 9001:2008 certified company.
Most of the products of Turbo Scaffolding are imported from different regions of the world and their products are sold to companies across Australia. The challenge Turbo Scaffolding faced was Inventory Management and Stocktaking, their level of stock and forecasting were a real challenge for the staff. They were looking for a robust solution where they can manage their imports, inventory, sales and logistics all from one system. They also wanted to monitor the shipping containers ETA so that they can quote timeframes to their customers accordingly. They also wanted to have reports generated of stock in total or for individual products.
As the head office is in Sydney, Turbo wanted to control Melbourne and Perth ERP systems from the same location and Melbourne and Perth offices were operated independently. They were looking at a system which can fit their process and should be flexible enough for future growth like connectivity with external apps or cloud based accounting system.
As we were supporting the website and Internet Marketing for Turbo, we at Webential were invited to understand and provide cloud based solution to their business. We put the flow of each department on paper and did our analysis on how to build the system which can be easy to use and secure. We started with wireframes and flow of system first which was presented to the business and on acceptance, we started building the system.
We developed the system in 3 different phases and put down the milestones. Our project manager along with senior development team has successfully implemented the entire requirement along with necessary training and documentation. The custom built ERP system has also been integrated with Xero cloud based accounting application.
Currently, we are offering dedicated support team to maintain the system and new updates that are necessary for company's future growth. By implementing this system, Turbo Scaffolding has a complete paperless process in place and they can provide quotes and stock level in real time. Turbo Scaffolding has also future development plans of integrating their mobile application with ERP so that customers can view their order history and invoices using their mobile app.
